Critique my workout idea

    Mondays - chest
    tuesdays - biceps with 30 mins cadio
    wednesdays - shoulders. back
    thursdays - triceps with 30 mins cardio
    fridays - legs
    saturdays - abs
    sunday - off

    open to any comments/suggestions. im working on staying at around 170-180lb range.

    looks alright, but if you want a chiseled mid section then i would suggest doing abs more than once a week, maybe add it to the bicep and tricep days if you want to

    i was thinking of that. maybe doing abs tuesday and saturdays rather then just saturdays

    yea sounds good, it ultimately depends on how important you think they are to you, i know i try to them about 4 times a week at least

    they're pretty important to me, but i dont want to overwork the muscle you know? id like to do them tuesdays thursdays and saturdays

    oh christ.

    Mondays - chest/triceps
    tuesdays - cardio
    wednesdays - back/biceps
    thursdays - cardio
    fridays - legs
    saturdays - shoulders + cardio
    sunday - off

    3 days of cardio, 4 days of lifting, 1 off day.

    and now you're doing the correct muscle groups together :slap:

    you can also put shoulders on the legs day, and do the cardio on saturday without the shoulders if you dont want to lift 4 days a week.

    uh, once or twice a week..they're like any other group of muscles.. you wouldnt train your biceps 5 times a week, would you? maybe you would...

    the key is to not do 100 upon 100's on the day you work them...most poeple make that mistake, train yourself to do the excercise properly with a day rest. abs recover easier than other muscles. doing a 2 sets of 25 of each ab exercise properly keeps my abs strong and i can see some definition, and ive been doing it for about 3 weeks now


    EDIT: a day rest in between is necessary

    btw, you go to ucf too? when do you go to the gym?

    Yeah, I go to UCF... I usually hit the gym at about 11:30 or 12 5 nights a week, but I don't use the UCF gym...IM me if you'd like: mikefearz

    Your campus gym is open 24hrs? That's hot... ours at RIT closes at like 10:30pm

    that sounds exactly like my routine except that I do legs and shoulders on the same day, and only do cardio for 30mins in the morning when I have PT (military). I take two days off. Combining those muscle groups together has really worked for me.
