    Tamron 28-75 f2.8 FTW....ignore these fucking shitheads

I have the Sigma 70-300 APO and it is a fucking dissapointment. But you are not going to be really happy with your telephoto unless you spend ~$1k

link to the "kit" lense? every place has their own kit

if its the one im thinking of it has a real small apature something like a 4 or somthing like that, i want a larger apature. why would i want that kit lense?

you want small apature, almost all lenses will have the same max, but the minumum is the important part.

i realize that, my terminology must be messed up.

if the apature is 2.0 / f stop 2.0 as is it the diamiater of the apature is 1/2 the diamater of the lense

how do people say that? i mean its a small fstop number but its really a bigger opeing

Correct terminology would be a "fast lens" or a large aperture

the d70 kit lens is a 18-70 3.5-4.5 the only reason you'd need a larger app aka a smaller number is if u're shooting indoors. if u're outdoors you'll most likely be using a small apperature.

this links is a comparassion of canon/nikon but it shows you the stats on the kit lens
