critique my deadlift

    So I have been lifting for about 6 months and realized it's about fucking time I start DLing.

    This is my first DL and would appreciate any criticism on form/posture/etc

    Don't think of it like squatting down, but rather sitting backwards.

    I feel like the bar should be closer to your shins at the bottom of the lift. but i don't know anything

    this. it almost looks like a squat.

    do you feel comfortable with your head in that position? looks like you "force" your head up like that.

    Don't use a mixed grip. It'll hurt your grip strength in the long run.

    dont let your knees jut out past your toes and they wont get in the way when you come down

    Not really...I felt that when I actually perform the pull my head/upper back was being forced down and I wasn't staying tight

    seems like your body moves forward to clear the knees. dont do that

    Your torso is way too upright, it should be more parallel to the ground.

    OP: Search "rippetoe deadlift" in youtube and watch every single video. It will help you gain a lot of knowledge.
