There was some semi-dense fog that folled in and the backyard looked like a UFO was landing a block over.

Seems to be a little overexposed but I think it gives a dramatic effect. Opinions?

It's more my neighbors back yard that looks like that. Mine is pretty normal cept for the land mines my black lab leaves.

My thoughts? Your pic is more underexposed, not overexposed. If it were overexposed, it would appear washed out and you wouldn't have the deep rich blacks in the scene. Also, the shot is too "busy", ie too many branches getting in the way. The framing is too wide. I think that if you used a longer lens or got a little closer to the gap in the trees and worked on your framing, you'd have a better shot.

    Thanks for the critic Jcolman.

I'm working on the longer lens...I'm using the packaged EFS 18-55mm lens that came with the 300D. It's not bad but I need some more zoom.

I like the pics. Were they taken last Friday night? I know there was wicked heavy fog in Oldsmar that night.
