I recently bought some Creatine Monohydrate.

    this one infact:
    http://bodybuilding.com/store/4ever/creatine.html

I am about done with the "loading phase"

but does anyone know anything about this? I heard on some other forums that its pretty safe, but it's never bad to be safe.

and surprisingly I already noticed some gain, my muscles seem a tad bigger, but when I have been working out I need a lot more water.

    :x:

For future reference, you don't have to load and you don't have to cycle it.

I had a feeling that you didn't need to load. From everything i read it sounded like you only need 5g a day, anymore and you would just piss it out.

Exactly the whole "loading phase" is all marketing BS.

For just starting off and getting serious with lifting, it's a great platform... but after that, it's really 'meh'. It got me going in the right direction, I've used to it here and there but just discover that once I stop taking it, I'm weaker than before.

Eat well with plenty of protein and carbs
lift real damn hard using a good routine don't make up your own shit
    sleep
    good multivitamin

4 above are much more important than creatine.

but no loading phase needed, drink plenty of water. you'll likely have a bit of bloat no big deal, just lift eat sleep

No, I only buy the super expensive stuff because we all know it has to be expensive to be effective.

creatine forces more water to be drawn into the muscle, and a muscle fully saturated with water is fuller and stronger.

there's that, and then there's the fact that there isn't that "extra" creatine in your muscles to convert the waste ADP back into ATP so you won't have the energy for that last rep or two that you did while "on"

    oh i see

is the decrease strength a decrease in the amount of weight you can lift or the just the number of reps on a certain weight?

You will drop a bit of water weight, depending on how much you are holding. Not 15%.

In theory, CEE does not need to attach itself to a water molecule to enter through the cell wall thus creating faster and more efficient absorbtion of the creatine with no water bloat.

I however prefer mono. I have used both for a minimum of a year at a time and while I do notice some minor bloating with mono it's not that bad. Plus, CEE tastes like ass and I was starting to get pains in my sides which subsided after stopping.
The sometimes associated increase in creatinine levels from CEE just isn't worth it for me.
Mono is more thoroughly studied and has been shown to really have zero sides and is proven to work.
The one thing I liked about CEE over mono is that when on CEE I could workout and then play basketball or do tons of cardio and be fine. With the mono I tend to get dehydrated more easily and after working out it is hard to play a lot of basketball or do a lot of cardio because I get so damn thirsy and tired.
Of course, drinking water fixes that, but playing basketball after just drinking 10oz of water isn't easy either, lol.

If you respond well to it there is really no reason to stop taking it.
