Creatine Monohydrate: Im doing the anal equivilent of dry heaving right now.

    i think ive finally pooped all i have to poop. its my first day on creatine so im loading. in my shakes im using about a teaspoon of creatine, a teaspoon of taurine and 4 teaspoons of dextrose into a cup of water. i have one shake 3 times a day for the first three days. after that it will be one shake a day with about 1.5 teaspoons of creatine

    so my questions are:
    is this something my body will get used to, or will it be not as bad when im not taking 3 shakes a day? should i reduce the dosage for the loading phase until its not as bad? is there anything i can add to my diet to keep things a bit more solid? im taking no other supliments, just a protein shake after my workout.

    sorry if this has been covered. i searched but all i got was a bunch of noexplode threads :o

    loading is a marketing scheme to get you to have to buy more creatine... unnecessary.

    same thing happened to me. body didn't get used to it. switched to cee . no mo problems!

    The issue is not one of absorption, but osmalality. The number of particles in your gut creates a concentration gradient. Water flows in to balance out the gradient, and bam—you get diarrhea. This happens when you take too much. Just start out with small dosages.

    really? the guy told me that 5-7 days was unneccessary but that i should do it for 3. if i dont have to at all ill probably be ok.

    excuse me if this seems like ignorance to any of you, but understand that any time i search for this stuff i get 3 or 4 different answers. so far ive seen that i should be loading for 7 days, not loading at all, or running a cycle starting with 10 grams and upping the dosage by 10 grams each week until i get to 40, and then pyramiding back down. there is a lot of conflicting info.

    the guy at the supplements store said it happens with something like 20% of people :dunno: guess im unlucky


    Thanks, Ceaze. ill skip the loading phase and use a bit less than what they are recomending i take and see how that goes. if i still have problems ill switch to CEE

    Stick with the mono for awhile - take 5gs either 2.5 pre and and post workout or take the 5g before yoru workout. Dont load, dont cycle anything just take it.

    Take 5g per day, every day. No loading phase.

    would drinking a lot of water (to balance out the water inside with the water outside) help? I know that the water in the gut would be the same, but there wouldn't be as much water transfer

    i drank about 5 litres of water yesterday, by the end of the night it was pretty much litterally passing through me :o

    well, that's about the right amount of water...
    that's really the only thing i've heard that's pretty important to do while using monohydrate :dunno:

    If you dont drink enough h20 then you will start feeling the muscle cramps and feel shitty altogether. You must stay hydrated while on any Creatine be it mono or CEE.
