Mono is to be taken with simple sugar/glucose, right?

But when on keto, simple sugars aren't a possibility. Does mono lose its effectiveness without the sugar or can it be taken on its own? Anything else in place that will spike the insulin?

I've always taken CEE.. but want to try mono for something new.

My av is so small you can't see it!
Sugars help with absorption. Not having simple sugars will not negate the effects of mono, so i wouldn't over think it.
