Creatine + caffeine = teh lose?

    I had someone tell me this morning that drinking coffee/soda while taking creatine will negate the benefits of the creatine?

    Since caffeine is a diuretic, I can see where this COULD be true, but I've never read/heard about that before...anyone know for sure?

    just drink enough water... the diruetic effects of caffeine arent enough to negate creatine. I take e/c while on creatine... aint no thang

    Ceaze posted something a few months ago I think, and the negating effects went beyond just the diuretic (again - I think).

    I've read many articles stating that caffeine does negate the effects of creatine. Google it and you'll see. I personally love coffee, but since I started taking creatine I've only been drinking milk and water.

    i just started taking creatine last week, and i drink about 3 cups of coffee a day, 2 cans of diet pepsi, and was going to start a eph/caff stack...

    I should cut out the coffee and diet pepsi anyways i guess, but what about the EC?

    You shouldn't be taking any thermogenics while taking creatine...

    You have to be taking a shit load of caffeine for it even to begin to interfere with creatine preformance. Like 5-8 cups of coffee, and even then it's not a real big deal.

    from personal experience taking them at the same time did nothing to inhibit the creatine for me

    I heard that creatine and caffeine can be consumed at the same time. But an article I read claims caffeine inhibits the absorption of creatine into muscle tissue. Which is true?

    There was a controversial research study published in 1996 in the Journal of Applied Physiology about creatine and caffeine; however, if you study that article closely, you'll find that caffeine had no effect on creatine uptake into muscle. A more recent study by Vanakoski, et al. in 1998 investigated the pharmacokinetics of caffeine and creatine, both alone and in combination. They reported when creatine was used alone or even in combination with caffeine that, "creatine was rapidly and efficiently absorbed, as reflected by plasma concentrations." Because researchers concluded that creatine was efficiently absorbed even when combined with caffeine, it does not appear from the results of this study that caffeine exerts a negative effect on the uptake of creatine into muscle tissue.

    i take xenadrine/biotek ephedrine and 3000mg of CEE everyday.

    i got nothing but increase in strenght and more defination :dunno:
