creatine monohydrate or CEE is the real question....

as far as I know there have been no studies that suggest CEE (more expensive) is better then mono

What I've learned is that its not what you take but when you take it.

there are enough brands of creatine out there and enough 99.9% pure creatines that you should be able to just get a decent reputable brand and be fine.

Just take it immediately after working out, not before. The myth is that you take it before but that just doesn't make sense scientifically.

Devil.. LOL!!! i figure i made it this far natural.. i will make it that far natural:)
whats funny is.. i keep getting the " there is no way you did that natural " comments. Even some of my friends i can TELL are wondering if im juicing.. IMO thast a GREAT complement.

At my body weight.. how much Creatine should i take in? and when is best?
i have heard 20g a day. 10 before and 10 after lifting, i have heard to spread it through the day.. or just 10g after lifting.
what about delivery? it seems like most of the creating delivery sups have 34g of sugar(140ish carbs) and 5g of Creatine. that would mean almost 600g a day of SUGAR carbs if i took in 20g of creatine.. thats insane..

i think the sugar is supposed to speed up delivery, so if you are taking it for general muscle saturation purposes then i wouldnt think you would need all that sugar

for what it's worth, 20g's is more common on a very low carb cutting diet; everything I have seen has indicated that you really don't need more than 5-10g's regardless of BW. I wouldn't bother with the "delivery supps", just add it to some gatorade, though some people like dropping a tbsp in a small cup of OJ and taking it like a shot :ugh:

an interesting side note from t-nation: creatine loading helps significantly with mental function when you are sleep deprived, so taking 20+g's when pulling an all-nighter might be a good idea :eek3:

    heres something else i found

A 1996 study showed that ingesting a carbohydrate solution with creatine promoted a 60 percent greater increase in total creatine concentrations in the muscle, compared with taking creatine alone.

its simple. Lets try and not complicate the issue.

20g a day is FAR too much. You only need 5-10 at MOST. There is no "loading" phase either

take 5 after workout with a high carb meal/shake and then again before bed and you'll be golden.

EDIT: also I've noticed better results with twin labs carb fuel or grape juice

It doesn't matter when you take it. The factors that will influence the muscle's creatine content will be the amount of time you've been taking it (usually muscles become saturated after a month at 3-5g/day) and ifyou take it with carbs. Taking it PWO only is better IF you take it with carbs, otherwise it doesn't matter.

Take it as long as you want or need it, back in the day everyone said cycle Creatine but thats pretty much been debunked or foolish. I would say stick with a 5-7g a day program and see how your results are. Sometimes when you get off Creatine your muscles seem to "deflate" but its mostly whatever water retention your body has taken, you hope to keep (all) the muscle you have gained with the CEE or mono.
