Steady traffic on both WAN light and LAN light on cable modem. Router config shows no WAN clients connected (as my wife's computer is currently off).
    Ideas?

Cable Modem ---> Router ----> your network ??
    WANlight LANlight

You are seeing traffic come through the cable modem, but not the router, right? If so, then it is probably random traffic. You'd be shocked at the amount of crap that gets flooded to you.

yep... on any popular cable network, the act lights on both the cm and router wan-side should be going crazy... on the lan, however, it should be calm.

If the lights on your router are blinking rapidly, then thats suspicious. However, if its on just your cable modem then thats fine.

Yea it's just data on the cable and the wan on the router. This was kind of a stupid question, in hindsight, because if I hadn't been tired out of my mind I would've realized this myself :hs:
