I haven't seen any threads on this great great movie so I'll start it.

From the time I saw the preview months ago I knew this was going to be great (not to mention its another LGF movie). It's a star-filled movie (Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Larenz Tate, Matt Dillon, etc., etc.) and the movie, which was unknown to me previously is all about racism and REAL prejudices in Los Angeles.

I won't give away too much, but the story is really deep and touching. It's very blunt and IMO very honest and true at depicting true life happenings (those easily offended might not want to see this movie), but with a great message. Acting and camera-work is top-notch and was left not wanting the movie to end, but when it did I was satisfied.

    Anyways...patiently awaiting your thoughts. :wiggle:

Was it good. I thought Lion Gate Films was going to put out another shitty movie. But it had lots of stars so it might be good I thought.

Very disappointed, very funny to see that blacks redicule whites about being racist and end up proceeding with the stereotype.

Initially I didn't want to see it, but a lot of people seem to really like it.

Just seeing Sandra Bullock as a bitch should be interesting.

    Glad you saw it!

I really loved it and have recommended to everyone...well those I feel that wont be easily offended.

I admit that LGF has come out with some shit lately, but for the most part I love the movies they've come out with.

I personally thought that Ludacris was great in the movie (much better than 2 Fast 2 Furious (sadly I'm admitting I saw it)).

Regardless, good times, good times. :)

I finally saw it and thought it was really good. there were some really powerful parts of the movie, other parts I thought were kind of dumb. Overall, i think its better then most other films in the theater right now.

I'm real excited about this movie - I wanna see how Paul Haggis handles actors and a camera since he's brilliant with dialogue already.

I just saw it and was pleasantly surprised. I think it was a great take on race relations in America.
I also loved that there were no good guys and no bad guys.

I was also really impressed with it. It has been a while since I have seen a movie that actually made me think. I liked how the movie makes you really look down on being racist in one way or the other, but then backs up why one would feel that way. I think that showing two sides of an issue such as this is great. I plan on buying it when it comes out.

I saw Crash and I thought it was pretty good.

I'm looking forward to Hustle and Flow too, both Terrance Howard and Ludacris are in that too.

Took me a minute to realize you guys weren't talking about that '96 indie film starring James Spader that was borderline softcore porn. It was an interesting flick, but one of those where I felt they were being weird just to be weird (lynch style).

The 2004 movie looks interesting enough. I might have to check it out.

I was extremely let down by this film....

It was just soooo cheezy and predictable, like a disney movie...a little bit too simple IMO, which is fine for most movie goers.

Saw this movie and enjoyed it. Wasnt as good as I thought it would be. For some reason it reminded me of Magnolia.
