I got a 32" samsung LCD not long ago and it looks great in HD on my 360, but with normal TV and DVD's the picture is very blocky around moving things. Is this just the way LCD's are or can I do something to improve it? And if I get a DVD player with a digital upscaler, will it make it any better? I haven't played a HD video on it yet so I don't know what that quality will be like.

If you are using a cable box the scaler in it is garbage compared to the one in teh tv. If you run the cable directly to the tv you will get a better picture. Also, if you hook up your dvd player with component cables an set it up for widescreen and progressive scan it should get rid of some of the blocking. Also if you are using full screen dvds you will get more blocking than if you used widescreen dvds.
