So I met this girl a week or so ago. I was talking to her on the phone and I said something about when I came off active duty. Rest of the conversation went something like this: Her: You were on active duty? Me: Yes, Army. For 4 years. Her: I don't like the military Me: Why? Her: My ex was in the military and cheated on me with some girl on his ship Me: What does that have to do with the military? Her: Because he was away and I guess we wanted different things Me: That didn't answer my question She goes on to say how her ex had cheated a bunch of times on his girlfriend before her, which still didn't answer my question. I made a point about I'd be in a lonely world if I thought all female college students cheated because my ex cheated on me. I hate it when people stereotype the military like that.
