Supposed to be in the high 30's tonight.
Wasn't planning on buying the cold weather gear til at least middle of October. Now I have to go shopping this weekend.

the high desert is funky. We can get 50-60 degree differences between night and day here.
I usually ride til it gets close to freezing though so no biggie. I just decided to get new cold weather gear this summer though and haven't gotten around to it yet.
Guess I need to get on the ball now.

under armor and thermal topped off with a leather jacket should do the trick? it gets pretty cold here in SF at night ive never had any issues, i obviously wouldnt go out in some mesh or textile jacket

Kilimanjaro jacket, set of snowboard/powder pants, tourmaster long gloves and a balaclava do the trick. When it gets under 40 I have a leather 3/4 jacket that I use. I can handle cold no problem, out just now in 55 degrees riding around in short sleeves and feels nice.

I can't wait for it to get cooler here. It was 90 here when I got off work with 55% humidity. :( Some fall weather will be a nice change.
