The part of the lower where the stock screws into has a small crack at the 12 oclock position.

It's a bushmaster carbon 15 lower (plastic). It's spread out about 1mm apart, and when I try to move the stock and spread the gap, it doesn't budge.

How would I go about fixing this? Or do I have to get a new lower?

New lower. Talk to BM, they'll probably warranty it.

Haven't you personally seen evidence to the contrary?

Call Bushmaster and see if it's under warranty.

Then sell it and buy a real AR :mamoru:

I wouldn't use Gorilla Glue. Go to the hardware store though and get some "2 Ton" epoxy, that should take care of it, although if you can post pictures I could give you a better idea.

Unless the company will warranty it for you. :o

Oh, guess I shoulda put a smiley face :mamoru:

For something like that I'd be putting whatever kind of warranty was available into use.

Any AR15 should take recreational abuse, if that lower can't, ditch that shit asap.

I was toying with the idea of a Carbon-15 in 9mm for a nice lightweight AR, but shit like this worries me.
