I saw googling that there is a tutorial on replacing the screen for 5 bucks from that other forum somethingawful.com well anyways I was wondering if anybody has that page ripped because it makes me pay to view their forums.

Cliffs: If you have any information on how to replace an Iphone screen cheap post those links!

Cracked screen isn't covered under warranty if you did it. You have to convince them that it happened from something like the phone getting too cold or whatever. When the iPhone was first released they were replacing them even if you broke the screen but that was just for good PR. Other then that it's all flat rate repairs with the iPhone so it'll be $198 (or maybe it was $189) and they just swap it for a refurb.

it's not for pr, it's so that our engineers can grab broken items after they get released to study and analyze them for business planning or product development.
