My cpu runs at about 76 degrees celcius.... is this normal?
Let me move this over to the computer forum for you.
But i'll let you know that - no, that seems a tad high.
what kind of processor? and hell no it's WAY too high...anything above 60...even mid 50's, should be too hot...
I have a 1600+ AMD XP chip and it was running at 50 celcius, then started climbing, hit 70 and it began freezing and rebooting, bought a new fan and it droped it down to 40, 45 load...
but ya that's way too hot
My AMD XP 2200+ is running 54C right now.. 70+ is definately way high...
Shit, that's hot enough to cook off of.
yeah thats about 15*C too hot. i'd suggest cleaning ur heatsync and fan. maybe clean off old thermal grease and put on some artic silver, and maybe a case fan.
You could fry an egg on that.
yeah, my amd xp 2200 (i think it is, 1.8ghz) runs at about 48 or 49 under normal usage. when im playing a game ive never seen it rise higher than 50 or 51. 70 is definently way too high no matter what youre running. Your computer isnt freezing at all? it should be w/ those temps...
mines around 50-55 c all the time, dont worry
i got a P4 2.8, had it going at full load 24/7 and the temp was usually around 68-70, and it worked fine. i looked online and found that this cpu can handle upwards of 80/85 degrees centigrade
i have a 1700+ and it runs at about 30 c w/ a coolermaster aero 7 lite...70 is way too hot. what kinda cpu do you have?
Seems high to me too... My Athlon 2500+ seems to be running at about 55 degrees (after running non-stop for 2 days this is what it was at, so I figure that's about where it levels off).
