cpu speed not correct

    i jus installed athlon xp 2500+ barton but my motherboard is reading it as 1100mhz and my ram is ddr400 pc-3200 but the memory frequency is at 100mhz.....how can i fix these probs??? the motherboard i have is asus a7n8x

    In the BIOS looks for something about changing the CPU and memory frequencies.
    Basicly look for anything that can be adjusted and read ###Mhz

    What to set it do is another matter. Setting the CPU too high will over clock.
    You didn't mention which BIOS you're using so that's the best I can do, not that I'd be much help after what I've already said as it is.
    Read the mobo manual.

    set it at 166 * 11 = 2500+ speeds
