I have a boatload of kit to drop off at CPS this week, and I'm not looking forward to the bill. 28-70L for cleaning, 70-200 2.8L for focus check (second time in for this thing) and my XL1s for a focus check on the lens, head cleaning and alignment of the tape carriage because it won't accept tapes anymore.

Anyone want to take a stab at what this is going to cost? :noes:

    :hs:

If I actually had to guess based on stuff I've seen probably $120 per lens.

No idea about the vcr w/lens though.

Yeah, I know their normal rate is $120/lens. I'm not worried about those, the XL1 though...I'm betting $500~$750 :wtc:

    $768.12

Canon Factory service has been good to me. Cleaning/focus check has always been free if its under warranty. What advantages are there with joining CPS besides loaner equipment? Discounts?
