Got my dad a new barrel for his Encore. 26inch 204 Ruger. He topped it off with a Leupold 6-18 this week.

204 Ruger and 17 HMR = best ammo developments of the past decade

Agreed. What sucks is my dad ordered 250 rounds from Cabelas- 40 grain Hornadys, only to find out the bullets dont like the twist of the Encore. They would group shitty ( 2 inches at 100 yards) and fucking keyhole. So he ordered another 250 in 32 grain and hopefully they work out....

Anyone need 235 rounds of 40 grain Hornady 204 ammo???:x:

Oh and the 17 HMR is one of my favorite guns to shoot. Fucking destroys squirrels. Ill take pics later of the gun. Its a Marlin 17VS or whatever with a Leupold 3-9

Thats a nice lookin gun. Not a bad ammo stockpile either. I like those leapold scopes, i used my buddies 7mm with a nice leapold on it.

235 rounds of .204? That's alot of ammo :eek3: I've considered buying a .204 at some point; having a round that travels at over 4000fps seems interesting. :o
