    Hi everyone,

A quick question. I'm moving into a new apartment and i basically have to get cox internet (it's the only thing in the area from what i see). Here are their plans:

    Value: 256kb up/down $25/month
    Preferred: 512kb up, 4mb down $40/month
    Premier: 768kbup, 5mb down $55/month

Now, to be quite honest, i was hoping to get cable access for around $25/month. Anyone have the value or preffered packages? How are the speeds? Is the preffered worth the $40/month with real world speeds?

    Thanks! :)

256 both ways is HELLA slow. Why would they even offer that? You will be pulling downloads at 32KBps MAX.

Spend $40 and get the preferred.

I don't know of any broadband service for $25/month. Not around here at least.

If you do any downloading your going to want the Preferred... The value package is good for someone who does email and some online shopping...
