Got them yesterday. Didn't have time to fiddle with them much, but they mount and adjust easily. They are very easy to open and close, and they seem solid enough at first glance. If anyone wants to see closer shots I can take some tonight.

Did anyone else get theirs? I think there were a couple other people here who pre-ordered.

Metal FSP for the front, polymer for the rear.

I was billed $105.90. Part of that was shipping - $8. I don't remember the breakdown between the two sights, I'll have to check the invoice when I get home.

I've never used a Troy, but yeah, with the ARMS BUIS you have to manually latch it down. These are definitely easier and you can do it with one finger.

Yep. Out of dumb luck I called the day before they stopped accepting pre-orders, got through on the first try, and placed the order in under 5 minutes :wiggle:

Did they contact you and give you shipping info? The only reason I knew mine was coming was that they charged my CC.

i like them, but they look kinda cheap. i do like how they pop up. my wilson combat is also spring loaded, but my rear BUIS was $180. if i decide to hack of my FSB and get a longer rail. ill probably be taking this route

I mean, i use the troys as my primary sites on my ar right now until i get some glass, they are great as primary - sturdy, don't move, ect.

but, if they are BACKUP iron sites, you want thsoe fuckers to POP up and not be a pain to get down. thus, i think the MBUS's are superior if they are for backup purposes, easy up and down, no fidgiting

I only have the troy rear but I don't suppose I see the problem, lift it up and it locks in place very solidly. I don't get the "easy down" thing. If you've had to put up your backup sight, why do you want it to fold back easily?

I agree that it's certainly not necessary when "closing" them, but if it's easier and works well, why not? Even if they had to manually latch or lock, they're still a great deal for the price, IMO.
