Im moving from a shitty high volume routine to this, (stole it from T-nation)

    Day 1 - Squat (Legs)
    Back Squat 5x5 or 10x3
    Lunges 5x5
    Crunches 3x8-10
    Calves 3x8-10

Day 2 - Bench (Upper body push)
    Bench or Decline Press 10x3
    Shoudler Press 5x5 or 10x3
    Dips 5x5

Day 3 - Deadlift (Upper body pull)
Deadlift 10x3 or cluster singles (like 20x1 with 1 min rest)
    Barbell Rows 5x5
Pullups/Chinups 4-5x6-8 (do pullups while you can, then switch to chinups)

    ...first i would like to get your opinion on this routine, as my goal is to continue gaining mass, secondly i would like to know if any of you think it would be more beneficial to incorperate good mornings in day 3, or is this giving day 3 to much volume? I would also like to know how often i should do this - i was thinking just take 1 day off inbetween each workout ? so something like this;

    Monday - Day 1
    Tuesday - Off
    Wednesday - Day 2
    Thurs - Off
    Fri - Day 3
    Sat - Off
    Sun - Day 1

    ...thanks for the tips

Just some BS one i made a long time ago

    Monday - Chest/Tri
    Tuesday - Legs
    Wednesday - Back/Bi
    Thurs - Off
    Fri - Delts/Traps
... i had a shitload of volume and used to much isolation, after reading tons of Tate and Waterburry articals im now taking a different approach.

lol, cool thanks, but what about the way i set it up with 1 day rest between each workout? Also do you think i should just leave it the way it is and not worry about incorperating good mornings? I already have DL's on upper body pull so it would be pretty hard to fit GM's in :dunno:

Alternate doing DLs or GMs each time? I know GMs aren't "pull" but meh..

I think I'll do something similar to this when I start cutting. Lowish volume, high intensity :bigthumb:

Ya i was reading the Art of Waterburry and he explains how to incorperate some direct bicep work into a program similar to this one.

Ok, just curious, why do you think this type of routine would not be beneficial to you? What way have you found to BE beneficial to you?

i have always trained with a traditional BB'er rountine for hypertrophy or whatever you guys like to call it it now adays. I dont really change much, in the off season i use a mix of rep schemes(hardly ever lower then 6 an compound movements/cable/machine type exercises...like for back...I would do

    3 sets of pullups
3 sets or bent over rows
    2 sets pullover machine
    2 set of front pulldown
    2 set hyper ext

something like that, but the next week i may use more machine or less depending how i felt, sometimes deads too. I dont really set anything in stone other then do at least 9-12 sets for chest, 12-15 for back, 15-18 for legs, 6-8 for arms- 9 for delts, etc. I have always been one of the biggest an strongest at any gym i go to, It works for me so i dont try to reinvent the wheel.
    2-3 deads

i have done 505 for 8...im not concerned with how much for 1, also take a weight thats 85% of your max and do it as many times as you can, now take your max and do it once...you honestly think you worked more or stressed the muscle more with that one rep.

i think deadlifting for reps (to muscular failure) is when people tend to blow their back out, because by the 8th rep their form goes into the crapper

No, thats why you should be getting 3-6 sets in your 90%+ range
