Been using a white wall in my house as a backdrop to take some pictures. Not great but better than nothing i guess.

Anyway, a couple we know came over for dinner on Saturday and I shot some pictures of them. The guy was very not into it so the shots of her are the only ones that were really worth a damn. I think they are kind of over exposed, but I like the look. I also decided to start putting a watermark on my pics :hs:

I shot this today while playing around with TTL on the flash, i've actually never used it before.

And let me tell you, it is a royal pain in the ass to get a jack russell to sit still on a piano bench for longer than .25 seconds in order to take a picture

Try fixing the colors so the wall is actually white. See if it turns out any better. Either way using umbrellas and strobes is fun isn't it :big grin:

yeah, i never hated that color upstairs until i started trying to use it as a backdrop

i thought about trying to make it more white, but I didn't know if it would make the rest of the photos looks strange - that and I'm still not that good with photoshop.

Definitely fun playing around with the flash and umbrella though, i really like taking pictures of people.

You could always blow out the wall by pointing a flash at it.

yeah good point, I'm about to order some cheap triggers and a 2nd flash soon, so I'll try that next time.

thanks. I know i'm not taking anyone's money for pictures yet, but I wanted to play around with the watermark anyway.

what did you do here? i was just trying to dodge/burn to get the background more white, but it turns more of an offwhite/cream color instead.
