Theres a new band out on the scene and they go by the name of "Big & Rich".

Their album...i forgot what it is called, kicks major ass. Its not your usual country album. Its country music kicked up a notch. Perfect for just music playing in the background at your next party or drinking gathering ;)

I just listened to the Big and Rich CD and I must say, it is a pretty good opening attempt. I'd say about half of the tracks are worth listening to. The others appear to be space fillers more than anything.

Their style of country is very akward, and you have to have an open mind to listen to it. Being a fan of bluegrass, classic country, and modern country, it was hard for me at first to allow myself to enjoy this sort of music as it "wasn't country." It is the same problem I have with Shania Twain. The music isn't bad, but much of it isn't country. In one song, they begin rapping country lyrics.

However, after listening to the Big and Rich CD,I must say I enjoyed it, and if you are a country music fan you should sit and at least give this CD a chance.

BTW, the CD is titled "Horse of a Different Color"
