I hate where country is going. Everything on the radio sucks SO MUCH.
Loretta Lynn and others are still keeping it real though.

Hank III is awesome. If you like real "country" music and not the stuff that is considered country nowadays you'd love Hank III. He's also into some punk-metal kinda stuff with his band called Assjack. Everybody ought to check him out. http://www.hank3.com has some links to some mp3s of some of his stuff.

I'm not a big country fan, but check out Shelby Lynne. Made 6 albums now, (I think),
'I Love Shelby' is a great album.

Shooter is amazing and so is Hank lll, but Wayne Hancock is the closest living thing to the spirit of Hank Williams right now, Hank lll covered a few of his tunes oh his first album.

Yeah, Wayne "the Train" Hancock is awesome too. Dale Watson is another one that should be checked out!

My Uncle listens to country music and has ever since he moved to Texas. So when I would visit during the summer that's all that would be playing on car rides to different places. There is only 1 country song I really like and that's "Survivor" by Reba McEntire

Shooter has been getting some great reviews, and I always liked Waylon, so I'll give him a try.

I LOVE Hank III. He absolutely rules. I saw him live, he does a country show, takes a break, and then comes out with his metal band. And it's pretty damn hardcore speed metal too. I wasn't so hot on the metal, but I really dig his country and punk music. I hope he puts out a DVD!
