so i'm counting my calories and i'm coming up on a cheat meal. my question is, if i have a cheat meal and don't count the calories for it, how many calories do i allow for the rest of the day?
    btw i'm currently at roughly 1500-1700 cal/day

wouldn't adjusting for it negate the fact that it's a cheat meal? :dunno:

i had iHop tonight, which is my cheat meal for the week.

greasy eggs over easy, bacon, hashbrown, and two fluffy buttermilk pancakes topped with strawberries.

    :yum:

I try not to cheat anymore. It makes it feel too much like my normal diet is a punishment or strict or something, when in fact I really just like the way I eat right now. If I eat poorly here and there I just try not to sweat it, sometimes you need to, but even when I started I never planned for a cheat meal. I hated how I felt after.

    I eat in moderation.

Instead of eating super clean 99% of the time then eating fast food, I eat very clean most of the time, while throwing in some junkier items for taste/etc.

For instance I'll have a blueberry muffin every so often with my egg white omelette + wheat bagel w/ pb, or an oatmeal raisin cookie with my 2 lean chicken breasts and salad.

Makes for a much more balanced/managable diet imo.

This worked for me in the past - I usually ended up burning more calories on cheat days than regular.
