    Great lens.

You need at least a 1 GB Memory card, if not bigger.

    I would also look into a 20D.

okay, but the price is good ... I did try to go for the 20d cause I saw it online, but the place does not have them at the moment.

The memory stick i might just buy at a different place

I'd seriously look into a 1GB or higher card, they're cheap enough nowadays that you can pick up a fast 1-2GB card for around a decent price. Especially if you get into shooting RAW. In JPEG fine, my D70'll cram 580 pics on my 2GB ($139.99) microdrive, but in RAW it's like 170 or so :dunno:

When it comes to that stuff, I wouldn't skimp out the first time. Especially if your camera's going to be an important tool for you- IE, making money with it. You might even consider holding out for a 20D.

    10D - 600
    28-135 - 350-380
    battery grip - 150
    550ex - 300

    I'd get it :dunno:

for everyday use a 256 card is plenty. unless you plan on taking long trips, or will be away from your computer for a long period of time you dont need anything bigger. why would anyone need to take 580 photos at one time, that's just ridiculous.

When you burst and/or shoot in RAW, space is taken up quickly.

That means you are shooting way too much. Out of those 1gb full of images how many were actually keepers? something you would actually print or be proud to display on the web?

It doesn't matter if I take 1 or 1000 pictures, I never get keepers. :wtc:

    get the 20d.

and i'd also buy a few smaller cards rather than one big one. (4-512mb @ 80x). Everything else looks good. Don't forget the uv filters.

oh, and a lot of photographers will take hundreds of photos only to like a few shots, especially when the shoot is time sensitive.

You guys realize he posted this on the third, right? If he was going to purchase it he would have by now and if he didn't purchase it, the person has long sold it to someone else. This was an above average deal, probably a pretty good deal. :)

Bypass this and go with the 20D. I've seen them for $1200 and up.
