Could this be a broken flexplate?

    I started my car about a week ago and everything sounded completely fine...a couple of days later I went to start it and heard this noise...The car has been sitting for a while since I blew the transmission...2nd, 3rd, and 4th are gone.

    Mine sounded a tad different when it cracked. I had the bolts back out of the torque converter .. sounded just about like that.

    Yeah after the very first minute or so of when it started it was alot loud and just got quieter like it is now over time.

    thats exactly what my car sounded like when the flywheel was hitting the inspection plate
