So, I needed some prints in a hurry and after hearing several good reviews of Costco's in house printing, I decided to give it a shot. Overall, I'm happy. Print quality is nice, and had I uploaded the printer profile, I think the colors might have been a little more true to my shot, but they are close enough that my client won't notice. I'd like to print off an identical shot I got from MPIX to compare the two in a head to head test and see how they compare. I'm not sure if I'm not digging the prints because I didn't like the shots (don't they always pick the shots you don't like for their prints) or if it's an actual quality difference. Price @ costco was definitely better than mpix, about 1/2 as expensive.... not sure about large prints though.

And on another note, I was very impressed when I walked up to the photo lab and saw a pamphlet explaining photographers copyrights

Sounds good enough for me. I should be getting my costco card soon so I will have to try them out.

    Amen haha.

I've usually used Mpix, but for a few shots that will be going in my bedroom and office for the next year or so I've decided to go with Costco. I'll definitely get something printed large sooner or later just to compare their quality. I've been impressed with what I've seen from them. :)

I tried printing by submitting them online before and had some terrible jpg artifacts so they were obviously compressing them. They refunded my money no problem however. I tried in-house and was very happy with them. I've been told they had a problem in the past with the online stuff but is fixed now.

I had decent luck from them in the past, but these days I use WHCC and get lustre prints.

and thats just one lab. We have two other photo labs that are brand new, one filled with Epson 3880's, and another one filled with more 4800's and a couple new 7880's...

And each and every printer is equipped with Colorbyte's ImagePrint and has custom printer, dpi, display light and paper profiles.
