Is there a major difference between the two? I have 1GB (2 x 512MB) of Value Select at the moment, will I notice a difference if I switched to XMS?

Do you overclock? If not, I doubt you'll "see" a difference. There may be a difference if you run those pointless tests, like sandra.

If you do overclock, the XMS has better cas latencies and is more stable at unorthodox frequencies. But costs a lot more. ~2x more last time I looked.

There isn't going to be much of any difference. Certainly not enough to justify the price increase.

Yeah no overclocking here, my system if plenty fast enough as is. I figured there wouldn't be a huge difference.
