    Hi all,

I have a mac ibook that worked fine for about a year - and then in the last few months my MSO applications keep crashing. Mac advised that it is likely limewire corrupted, which can act like a virus. They said to bring in my computer and they'd strip it down and build it back up with my original programming CDs(?).

If I bring it in can they back up my music and photos there, or should I have that saved on my own so they can strip it all in there? I don't know how to transfer files like that to another source since they are so freaking big.

Thoughts on the original problem or handling my backup?

    Thanks!

Yeah - they said that a corrupt limewire is the closest you can get to a virus on a mac... :(
