This movie is awesome on all levels.

It doesn't feel like you're watching a kids movie, when I first watched it I was pretty stoned and kept smoking but I got this strange feeling the whole time I watched it that a lot of the movie really closely resembles the kind of things you see in Psychonauts, which was awesome.

It's like the movie was put together in a game-based format or something.

Movie is wierd and trippy as hell, I only wish I had vision in both eyes so I could watch it in 3D :wtc: (Blind in my left eye, 3D movies don't work at all for me and no the glasses don't work in the least)

i'll get my sub in next week sometime, I'm still pretty busy... hard to believe I haven't even used my computer in a month prior to this post :o

I really liked this movie, though it was trippy as fuck and would have scared me to tears as a kid.

I also enjoyed Coraline. visualy stunning and creative animation. I think its a bit scary for the little ones,. It is produced by Tim Burton, so it carries that style he's usually associated with.

I love The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and James and the Giant Peach so Coraline was an easy movie for me to love. I have the chance to see it in theaters and had the whole room to myself. Such a good movie with a great story.

Nightmare before Christmas was awesome, James and the peach was cool too.

Corpse bride was alright, but I felt like either something was missing or it was too short.

From what I understand, Tim Burton has nothing to do with this film. Henry Selick, however, directed it & he also directed The Nightmare Before Christmas and James & the Giant Peach.

That being said, I found it very entertaining. I prefered the standard 2-D viewing on Blu-Ray, as opposed to 3-D. My 2 (almost 3) year old son loves it but my 6 (almost 7) year old son is pretty frightened of the Beldam (Other Mother).

you're right, when I was watching the dvd... they showed a preview for the movie "9" which was produced by Tim Burton. Thats probably how his name got jumbled in there somehow with my post. :o

I thought the movie had a great style and music, but the overall story itself was a little vanilla. It felt like a collage of entertaining "pieces" sewn together. I thought it was good but not amazing.

i want to watch this in 3D without those shitty pink and green ones...or even the old shit with the red and blue...i want the 3D from the IMAX. i dont want to sacrifice color to get 3d.

I was surprised by this movie... agree with everyone else who says it was trippy. And I liked the subtle creepiness of the characters
