Wow, that's pretty fucking shitty of them.
Holy crap. I'd say sue the crap out of them, even if you can't shoot one of their events again in the future. That is just crazy for a place that is making as much money as they are to steal their product.
So someone made a quality 7 foot by 10 foot print off an 800px x 533px image?!!
Read all of it.
You posted this thread a few months too early. No resolution, no care.
LOL that guy is going to make some money off those fuckers. Ownt.
I'm from San Bernardino.
I dont know, his was pretty bad. At least this one could be argued on ignorance.
Not using images for profit > using images for profit?
yeah i'm a scumbag
and sorry to say, everyone always yelling "sue and make millions!". lol never gonna happen. If he makes $500 i'll be suprised.
If you don't want your car stolen, don't leave it unlocked
oh... err.. I mean, if you don't want your pics stolen, don't leave them laying around in public forums.
This is an ad that I made.
I don't know who took any of those pictures.
oh and by the way, I drove that z (or one of them, there are 9 identical ones) a few times before
Today's lesson is: dont be a tosser like pete [was] and steal photos, its not cool. mmmkay?
Asian in a Nissan? No wai!!!!1111
Was the ad published? Chances are the rights are owend by RF and being a retailer you should be fine... right?
If not, then I hope your company gets sued for you being a tosser.
He is italian, he only pretends to be asian.
I bet he makes a mean sweet n sour lasagna.
was it published?
50,000 copies distributed across the us in 2004!
rights are probably owned by RF, but I took RF's pics and used them for the company I work for!!!!!
And here's a shot of one of the big wigs at rockford fosgate checking out the ad in the catalog i made
and here he is again!
yeah, i'm an italiasian
holyshit @ tarzan
yeah i caught some shit for that lil stunt
If you don't sue than they're just going to get away with more and more.. I'd try and handle it civil out of court and come to a fair compensation...otherwise you can sue for big big cash.
Same thing happened to my buddy when he found one of his slipknot photos published in a actual book that was in borders..I also had a guy I've shot with end up with one of his photos used on a magazine cover and they thought he wouldn't notice cause it was just the outline (kinda like they did with yours)
sue for big money
See there is a difference between what your buddy says happened to him and what happened to this other guy. Your buddies images were actually published in a book that is for sale in a big literature retail chain!!! Now that is seriously a crime, no joke. And on the magazine cover! Wow
But the paintball guy's photos were just used for ads, if it wasn't his images they could have easily pulled other images from google images to replace them. His images didn't MAKE the event, and the event didn't NEED the images. That's why he's not going to get any money.. But selling Tee shirts with his images all over them..... That's another story..
Damn that makes me so pissed of by reading it..reminds me of the time im browsing this forum and suddenly I see over a 100 of my pictures from an event I was covering, watermark removed and replaced with another, at least the owner of the site was cool, immediately banned the user that posted them, deleted them and let me put them up with my logo.
Keeping your cool and talking nicely can go a long way.
