Hey i've used handbrake to rip some of my dvds to .m4v format to put onto the ipod but i was wondering dvds like the family guy where there are multiple episodes. is there a way to rip the individual episodes to put them onto the ipod instead of taking the whole dvd? and on that note what about converting .avi to .m4v?

    Thanx!

I've used handbrake to rip DVDs that have several episodes before.

I don't know if they have made any changes in the past few months, but I essentially did it by hand, although handbrake did have a beta queue feature where you could queue up several episodes from the same disc.

For converting avi to m4v, I have a program called Podner. I paid money to register it, haven't used it in a while though. It's really slick.

I've used iSquint. It will convert just about any codec to mp4 or h.264 for your ipod. Best part about the program is that it keeps getting faster and faster with frequent updates.
