are there any special programs to make copying folders easier? i'm talking about where you need to copy maybe the entire contents of a hard drive, and you have to go almost folder by folder because if you do a ton @ once and theres an error it just stops and you have no clue where it stopped so you have to fish around. Is there some sort of program that will continue copying even if theres a bad file? must be from within windows

Have you tried xcopy with the /C switch? That will copy files even if an error occurs. You could also buy something like Norton Ghost that will mirror the contents from one hard drive to another.

I always use "xcopy c:\*.* /c /d /e /i /y d:\" for copying the entire contents of a drive.... I include the "/h" switch if I want hidden files too. Much less overhead than windows copy.
