is the cut away foam pre-cut or you can customize it to your liking?

They're probably blocks that you cut with a blade. But they're already perforated, so the cutting is pretty easy.

I have had the $25 case above for several months now, and I have accidently dropped the camera twice in the driveway. The case saved it both times without getting a scratch on it. Camera works perfectly still as well.

I have all of this in there:

    20d
    100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM
    50mm f/1.4 USM
    18-55 f/3.5-5.6
    1.4x converter
    Battery Charger
    Eclipse cleaning liquid
    Pec-Pads
my homemade sensor swipe (for cleaning the sensor with the copperhill method)
my cable for hooking camera to TV when I do portraits/other indoor stuff
    and other various camera stuff.

This case has a TON of room inside.

The pelican is virtually indestructable, has a pressure release valve, replaceable o-rings to ensure complete sealing, ability to completely lock everything up, excellent build quality, water tight, etc.

    Let's put it like this..

if you brought this [IMG] (Pelican 1510, airline carry-on size, with wheels and handle) onto a plane and took a flight that went down over the ocean, the Pelican would survive before you would.

    It floats too. :)

Theres a problem if you're dropping your camera in the first place.
