Obviously out-sourcing the MOS... but what are your units doing with them?

Our cooks are hopping on machine gun teams for when we deploy

Our stuff is all old and broke. Cooks make for an easy working party for me.

I wasn't going to say that, but I was going to comment about how every Marine is a rifleman and it's things like this which prove it time and time again .

BS. Most of us fire approx ~200 shots a year at a range. I don't consider that being a rifleman.

Your years of experience really showed you that, uh?

His oppinion won't change when he gets done with all his training (if he makes it through that boot & infantry shit) because it's true.

Army band members are pulling convoy and guard duty in the sandbox. Put that in your flute and toot it.

No, it's a hard fact and 230 years of history backs this claim up, not to mention the countless number of support units which have deployed to Iraq as provisional rifle companies.

    Eh.

The history is true, but in iraq it's more like... hey if we get attacked I can rely on the damn Marine next to me to put some rounds downrange fairly well.
