AutoGK all the way. Set it up and let it run, perfect files every time for me.

I find that AutoGK takes a long time to encode...

How long does it take for you to convert a 90 min. DVD on avg., and what is your setup?

The best choice is AutoGk. Takes about an hour to rip a VOB (DVD) file to an AVI.

Others also like Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum which is sorta like a '1-click' (for "Dummies") program.

90 minute dvd to avi running 2 passes to get a 700meg xvid file on my C2D 2.4ghz with 2gigs of ram takes about 2 hours-ish. Its the fastest program I've found that gives me the greatest amount of quality. I found one that was faster once but it gave me a lot of jaggies and more "black blocking." It is the best program that I've ever used and I recommend it to anyone looking to convert video files. I also use it to take 800 meg avi tv shows down to 350 meg avi files so they match my size/quality standards on my server. Plus the fact that it is free shoots it to one of the top spots in my software list.
