I have an AVI file that I'm trying to watch on my PS3. I downloaded Handbrake and selected the PS3 setting and converted it. I put the converted file on my usb drive and put it in my PS3, but the PS3 didn't see the file. What am I doing wrong?

I went to the video part, found the flash drive and pressed x, and it said there are no video files. Ill try hitting triangle. Does the PS3 play AVI files?

yeah it does. I play AVIs all the time from an external to the PS3.

But yeah, try hitting triangle to view the contents of said flash drive.

You need a folder in the drives root called VIDEO. It has to be in all caps.

That way anything you put in there will automatically show up under the video section. Without having to hit triangle and choosing "display all".
