So I have a ton of Russian MP3's that come up as gibberish when loaded in WMP or Windows Explorer.

This is what it looks like: Ñîëíûøêî ëåñíîå
Should look like this: "Милая Моя"

I've tried UnicodeRewriter, http://unicoderewriter.sourceforge.net/, but didnt have much luck. It maybe because I'm not sure what encoding its currently in (you input this variable).

The Transformation Directive in Mp3 Book Helper, http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net, seems to be able to do what I need, but when I change the encoding to Western Cyrillic 1251 it just shows vertical lines instead of the gibberish characters.

    Any help is appreciated.

It would help if first you installed all of the language packs in Regional Settings (or whatever it's called) in Control Panel. At least then you can see what the vertical lines are really saying.
