My gf just bought an imac and is having the hardest time converting wma to mp3. I looked online for almost an hour and only found a handful of free programs.. downloaded and installed them all and not even one of them worked. I'd try and convert it and then it'd say converting... another couple of minutes later it's as if absolutely nothing happened.

IIRC, if flip4mac isn't installed properly or isn't working correctly or something, none of the converters know how to use the wma file. is this correct? i thought it was odd that not even one of the converters worked so I was thinking it could be an issue like this perhaps.

    any ideas?? thanks.

    Have you tried this: http://sbooth.org/Max/

Not sure if it will do WMA, I'm at work right now and can't test it.

i have tried converting WMA to MP3. in most cases WMA had DRM and i could not convert it.

itunes can do this conversion if you havent tried that...(sounds like you have).

every time I drag and drop wma into itunes, nothing happens... from what I've found while searching, itunes will only convert wma if you're on a pc. for whatever reason, it won't do shit on a mac. weird huh?

    thanks though.

still lookin for help dudes!!!! :wiggle:

I use mplayer/mencoder on the command line. It's a bit difficult to get used to, but it's free and works with just about everything.

Use a program called Switch. It works really well and very simple interface and easy to use.
