I have a 2 drive RAID 0 that I want to turn into a 3 drive RAID 5, can I do this without losing the data already on the RAID 0 drives?

Depends on the controller...I believe the Perc and SmartArray controllers can do this, cheap lowend ones like Highpoint likely can't.

x2. Depends on the controller. It's a hell of a lot easier to convert a RAID0 to a RAID3/4, but RAID5 is doable -- it just takes longer. In any event, the math that makes it work is cut/dried, so there's no risk provided you have a decent controller.

Failing all else, you can use Acronis TrueImage or something similar to backup the RAID0 and restore it onto the new RAID5.
