What started with an iPod Mini, then went to a 17" Powerbook, and my most recent purchase a 1.42ghz / 80gig / 1 gig / superdrive Mac Mini. My PC at home that I use mainly for surfing was taking a dive and my girl was getting bored without a computer so I went with a mac mini. Help at the Apple store was an idiot and didn't know what was going on, thankfully I knew enough before going in the store. Overall I'm happy to have the entire house converted now, I should have done this a long time ago.

:sad2: I think I have to get used to this more before I can fully go all Mac. As of right now I like my mac and pc equal because I'm not fully used to the mac yet. The biggest problem for me is the windows and shit, I like on a pc how when you minimize a window you can choose which one you want to open, unlike a mac it just opens that whole program (for insance AIM) and you have to find the window :hs:

if you ctrl-click the application in the dock, or just hold down the mouse button when you select the app, it'll give you a pop-up list of the windows available in the app, so you can choose the specific one you're looking for. That sounds like the feature you might be looking for. :dunno:

get rid of your instinct to minimize. leave the windows open and use expose to switch between windows.

is expose the thing that makes all the windows open fit on the screen and when you click on one it opens?

If so you're right, that shit is badass. I love that feature. Spotlight is also pretty neat although I haven't had to use it yet :hs:

if you have expose set to the f9-f11 keys, try using magic corners in the expose settings. it makes it so you can do expose stuff just by mousing to a corner on the screen

neither did i until i was fiddling around in the setting a few days ago and came across it. that seriously makes expose 10x more awesome.

depending on what mouse you get, you can set some of the side/top buttons to do the same thing. Guy at work has his thumb button set for F9...:headbang:
