Ok - i'm just doing a hypothetical question here.

say someone were to take a dvd player/burner and control the RPMs of the dvd - would it be possible for the dvd player to read the video even if the dvd were spinning at a slower rate - like the same idea as a record player - you speed up the rpm of the record - the song is faster - slow it down - and the song is slower than normal.

would the dvd player know a differance?

obviously you would need to figure out how much to slow the RPM down to get the desired results, but still - what do ya guys think?

and yes - i totally know that there is software to do this via a computer - but i'm not asking for that - i am talking physically changing the RPM of the dvd

no, this would not work. It works with analog media, but not digital media.
