I have had wavy hair all my life and now i am just plain fed up with it. Once my hair gets to a certain length it just becomes unmanageable, which has pretty much forced me to always have short hair. Lately I have really been wanting to grow it longer but i don't know what i can do to my hair so that it will be actually manageable. Would the use of thinning scissors help? What would you guys suggest?

I've got really wavy hair. The girl that cuts my hair now thins it out with some scissors since its thick too. I still can't grow it very long without it being a mess...once its 2-3 inches long, its unbearable.

You are in the Style Lab ;)

Nothing wrong with being a male and using straighteners, if you're after a certain look then use the tools that are available to require it.

Some hairdressers can also offer you a chemical straightening treatment but it can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on your own hair and how much you wash ect.

I would suggest getting your hair thinned out and asking the hairdresser to straighten it for you so you can see the look, if you like it then buy some straighteners yourself and give it a go at home.

you shoudl never use them unless youre experienced, or dont care about the end result.
