I've almost had it with this computer, I cannot get ANY OS to work other than 9.2 (no Windows drive support, limited software otherwise). Ubuntu 5.10 won't work, and AFAIK OSX won't work. I've tried a universal OSX install disk, but it didn't work. It was a burned copy, so I am a little suspect. I have a Mini install DVD, but I know Apple makes limited compatibility CDs :wtc:.

My question, is there a foolproof way to get OSX to install on one of these old clunkers? A patch or does anyone have a universal PowerPC OSX DVD they are looking to get rid of? Or should I just take it out to my rifle range and destroy it? 9.2 doesn't work for me, so using it is out of the question.

I have an old G3 too. Runs Panther ok. But I installed it from a legit Apple disc.

I should boot it up for shits n giggles.
