Leave Myself Behind by Bart Yates. Anybody else read it? I think it's probably about a year old. It's a pretty short read, 240 pages, I picked it up last night and just finished it this afternoon. It was impossible to put down. I don't think I've ever read something where I could identify so much with the protagonist in almost every way. I'd recommend this to almost anybody, especially younger teenage readers. :bigthumb:

I just got finished reading E. Lynn Harris' What Becomes of the Brokenhearted. It is his memoirs, and they sooo touched me. I've always luved his fictional work, but his memoirs are off the hook...

I heard you've been bad in class recently. I think you need to come to Mr. Nova's detention hall. You will write on the chalkboard, "I will be a good student in class" 100 times and then get down on your knees and.... :x: :naughty:

Okay, so I just started reading Military Trade by Steven Zeeland. Zeeland is a queer theorist, who focus on homoeroticism, homosocial behavior, and 'trade' mentality in its various forms in the armed forces. It sooo intrigues me...

I read a article in the Lambda Book Report that credits him for forging a "new genre--part gender theory, part queer theory, and part erotica."

    ...so far, wow. :eek3:
