I have been looking into getting a .22 handgun but i do not know really what to look for when buying one. Which brand has good models, what specific things should i look for?

I went to the gunshop last night thinking bout getting a P22. I don't consider myself to have large hand at all, but man was the thing tiny. i think I will stick to the Ruger

ruger is good, I've got a beretta neos that I really like. Picked up a sig mosquito, took it to the range today, like it a lot. Need to find the ammo it likes best, it wasn't real fond of cci mini-mags, but, this was also it's first trip to the range.

I'm thinking it just needs broken in. They all fired. But some of them only fired after a second drop of the hammer, so I'm loving that DA/SA trigger, so that a second strike is an option.

I'm planning on hitting the range soon, with a bunch of ammo (remington/federal/CCI, etc) just to see what it likes best. I really like it though. Got it in combat green, just like this: (edit, the mags are actually color keyed to the pistol, though. my mag base is green. But, US models apparently only come with one mag, Euro models come with two. So says the sticker on the case...european fuckers :madfawk:)

I've got a Colt Woodsman that my Grandfather left me when he passed away. It doesn't get shot much, because after my first range trip with my daughter I figured out what someone was talking about when they said "good luck cleaning it".

if you want accuracy, go w/the ruger or browning. you could also look into a .22 revolver unless you're set on a semi-auto.

I can't imagine a revolver being fun in .22 :hsugh:

Revolvers should be big manly calibers.
