Didn't get to see the fight, but I just read the play by play on Sherdog and it sounds like a dominant performance. Congrats to GSP and, to all his fans, you guys called it. Oh BTW I did call the Vera vs Mir fight correctly.

Spoiler? The fight was last night. Almost 24 hours ago. I could see if I posted it right after.

I just watched the fight again and have to say it was a near flawless victory for GSP (despite the low kicks). Gave me chills at the end with the kick and follow-up blows.

someone's bitter about huges' loss :mamoru:

No I'm bitter because I think Pride > UFC, yet every time there's a pride event there's maybe 3 or 4 threads about it, but any time there's a UFC the forum (and main forum too) blow up with redundant threads about each fight.

It all just seems ass backwards in my elitest spectating point of view.

That was an awesome fight... I've never imagined that Hughes would be dominated like that... Congrats to GSP!!! It couldn't have happened for a nicer guy...

He really dominated Matt Hughes, it wasn't even close, he made Hughes look like an amature, very impressive.

Pride>UFC ACCEPT in the WW division. I've been told that Pride doesn't even have a 170 division. :dunno:

What do you expect with people who don't follow MMA intently?

The average Joe is going to see UFC all over national television....I love PRIDE too but I'd be lying if I said I followed it as much as UFC.

Its just so much easier when events are televised locally for people who aren't die hard fans :dunno:

I called it GSP KO 2nd.

It's about time GSP got gold. He's one of if not the classiest fighters there is. WAR GSP!

My Thread was more about showing that I wasn't a Hughes jock rider that I was accused of being.

Yeah, I'm a biased douchebag anyways. I pretty much only follow Middle weight and up... I hardly ever watch Bushido events because LW fights don't interest me so much.

And I won't deny that GSP or Hughes aren't great fighters, there are many in the UFC. THey just don't appear in the same volume as in Pride, so I tend to like it more.

Oh jesus, and I though dipshit 2006's with 9 posts knew better than to talk shit about people on forums as if their opinion or statement mattered in any way whatsoever

You can say that again, fucking HW division in the UFC is like a sleepfest, fucking brutal. :ugh:

But the 170 division is pretty competitive.
